Iv'e been trying out something different with my existing photographs. 

I think reflection adds a surreal edge to somewhat normal photography.

Could be read as my initials, also makes a nice mark.

Finished Images - Chatham Dockyards

Final images, I am very happy with the outcome and they all look great mounted on wood.

Printed on semi-gloss photography paper and mounted on MDF wood.

Type and Image Test

I think this works really well, the type and image are working in harmony and still keeps the abstract effect. The wording is also much better than before, I have kept it simple and descriptive, just like the images.

Hamish Fulton and Richard Long

Hamish Fulton and Richard Long are two artists who use photography and type in their work. The relationship between the type and image is difficult to achieve without giving a advertising edge. Both of these artists have achieved this by integrating the words with the image in such a way that they become one object. I think this is the solution to my project and I want to use similar techniques to them to solve the problem I have with combining the type and image. I want to use descriptive words about the object in the photograph and from my feelings of the atmosphere of the place as the type.
